A course of 3 doses, usually over 3 to 4 weeks (days 0, 7 and 21 to 28).
Accelerated schedule
Short on time? An accelerated schedule may be possible. Your pharmacist will advise what is right for your trip.
Pre-exposure vaccination reduces the treatment you need after a bite and buys you time, but it does not remove the need for medical care. Always seek treatment if you are bitten or scratched abroad.
